Mumbai-based SaaS firm Assert AI has recently secured $4 million in a Series A funding round. The investment was led by Ramesh Hariharan (ex-CTO and Co-Founder of LatentView), Prashant Purker (former MD & CEO of ICICI Venture), Arya.ag (integrated grain commerce platform), and other investors. Assert AI, which was listed as one of the most promising startups for 2023 on YourStory’s Tech30 list, currently operates in India, the US, and the Middle East. With this recent funding, it aims to expand its presence into key Western markets.

“We are excited to announce the successful completion of our Series A funding round. This investment underscores our investors’ confidence in Assert AI’s vision and potential. It will facilitate our expansion efforts and expedite the development of innovative AI Vision solutions that deliver value for our clients worldwide,” said Job Philip, CEO of Assert AI. The new funding will also support its expansion into vital markets, bolster research and development initiatives, and further enhance its technology.

Assert AI has recently launched Pratham, an AI-driven platform aimed at democratizing access to computer vision and artificial intelligence. Pratham enables non-AI users to analyze and utilize data from video feeds without the need for coding. Users can either upload their own videos or connect directly with their CCTV cameras. Pratham’s AI tool extracts necessary data from the video feed, such as tracking footfall in retail outlets or monitoring production lines for manufacturers. Users from different sectors can access the platform by specifying their specific use cases and customizing preferences through provided options.

Established in 2019 by Job Philip and Nitin Jain, Assert AI offers AI-integrated software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions tailored for extensive video analytics across diverse business sectors, enterprises, and corporations.
