One of the UK’s Top 50 most ambitious company leaders for 2023 is the entrepreneur behind the 200 Degrees coffee shops in Nottingham. Co-founder and CEO Rob Darby expressed his humility while praising the entire team and acknowledging that he wasn’t the only one responsible for the achievement.
The Times and dependable investment partner LDC, a division of Lloyds Banking Group, collaborated to produce the LDC Top 50 Most Ambitious Business Leaders, which honors entrepreneurs striving for expansion and establishing prosperous medium-sized enterprises. The competition was strong and the nominees this year were of an extraordinarily high caliber, demonstrating the ambition and dedication that connects business leaders throughout the United Kingdom.
The Top 50 executives are expanding their companies domestically and internationally, giving back to the community, and advancing their sustainability objectives. They represent every economic sector and come from all over the United Kingdom. Together, they generate more than £1.2 billion in revenue and employ over 6,700 people.
Rob and Tom Vincent, his business partner, struggled to find quality coffee to serve in their bistros, so they created 200 Degrees in 2012. They established their roastery in front of Notts County FC’s stadium, where they still roast now. It has supplied coffee to Flying Horse Walk, Carrington Street, Milton Street, and West Bridgford shops in Nottingham, as well as 16 other unique coffee shops in England and Wales during the last 11 years.
Dedicated barista classes are available at seven of the locations. Recipient of numerous honors for its coffee, team culture, and leadership, the company is still growing all aspects of its operations, including e-commerce, wholesale, and a home subscription service.
