According to 79% of IT and Business Leaders, Generative AI will Greatly Increase Process Efficiency

According to a survey conducted by Pipefy, a global leader in process automation, on Process & Workflow Automation, 79% of business and IT leaders think that generative AI would increase process automation efficiency by more than 25%. When generative AI is used for process automation, more than one third (34%) of survey participants predict efficiency benefits of more than 50%.

Not only do 73% of business leaders report that their company is presently implementing AI efforts, but they also think that generative AI applied to process automation would produce the following results:

  1. A) 50% expect to increase operational efficiency
  2. B) 51% hope to gain a competitive edge
  3. C) 53% predict better use of staff time; and
  4. D) 47% anticipate faster access to data analytics.

Leading causes and advantages of workflow and process automation

There are several reasons why business and IT leaders choose to implement workflow and process automation solutions. The poll indicates that the following are the main reasons behind the adoption of process automation:

Around 74% want to increase productivity; 73% want to increase efficiency; and 55% business leaders are searching for solutions to reduce errors.

Furthermore, business and IT executives listed the following as the top advantages of implementing process automation solutions:
