Prime Highlights:

Key Background:

Max Taylor, the CEO of Vodafone UK, has today revealed the new leadership team for the company, which will oversee operations following its £15 billion merger with Three UK. The merger, which is set to complete in the coming months, was approved by the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) in December 2024, subject to legally binding commitments.

Upon finalizing the deal, Taylor will take on the role of CEO for the merged entity. The new leadership team, appointed after a comprehensive selection process and approval from the MergeCo governance board, includes key appointments to manage the combined operations of the two companies. The leadership team consists of Darren Purkis as CFO, Kelly Barlow overseeing strategy and portfolio, Clare Corkish in HR, Andrea Dona leading networks, and Nick Gliddon managing business operations. Additionally, Stephen Lerner will handle regulatory, government affairs, and serve as company secretary, while Nicki Lyons will lead corporate affairs and sustainability efforts. The team also includes Stephen Reidy in IT, Jon Shaw overseeing consumer operations, Rob Winterschladen managing consumer affairs, and Andy Yorston responsible for legal, security, compliance, and risk management.

Taylor expressed his congratulations to all the appointees, emphasizing the team’s readiness to integrate both companies and deliver on the commitment to establish the UK’s best network for customers. The appointees will assume their respective roles after the completion of the CMA process and the formation of the new company. Until then, current roles at Vodafone UK or Three UK will remain unchanged, with both companies continuing to operate separately. The leadership appointments reflect the strategic vision to position the merged entity for future growth and innovation in the highly competitive UK telecommunications market.
